Results on 15.02.2014 – Another good weekend!

Women’s Sevens – 2 wins and one loss in the second week of games for the Ladies:

Valletta v Swieqi Overseas: 0 – 34
Swieqi Overseas v Stompers: 36 – 0
Swieqi Overseas v Kavallieri: 5 -15

Mens Mediterranean Bank Cup – 2nd Div: Second Division team scored another win:

Overseas B v Marauders: 21 – 17

The first division game versus Valletta was postponed to a further date.

Next Fixtures – Friday 21st February and Saturday 22nd February

This weekend sees only the 2nd Division Mens side in action. All games played at Marsa Sports Complex, Free Entrance.
Friday evening we have the following Division 2 games, followed by food and drink at clubhouse:

Saturday we play the Mediterranean Bank Cup 2nd Division game against Stompers B, at 14:40.

NATIONAL TEAM COMMITMENTS

This weekend 13 of our male players go to Sicily as part of the Malta National A select to play against a Sicilian side.

Locally over the weekend the ‘Malta Women’s Sevens Rugby Tournament’ will be held at Marsa Sports Complex. This year’s tournament will be hosting teams coming from Norway, Switzerland and Denmark, along with our local Ladies National side.

2 players from our Ladies team Sairita Cassar and Gaby Galea have been chosen to play for the Ladies National team – Well done!

SOCIAL EVENTS

The 15 March will see our St Patrick’s day/Guinness event. Guinness is one of the Club’s sponsors. More details will be issued in the coming weeks.

A second project for the Mens team is in the works and I will inform you on this in the coming days. Date of event last week March!
